Enjoy shopping our large selection of House plants, Tropicals, and Succulents while you are there.

Workshops

Plant and Moss Frame Workshop

Let your creativity flow and join us in creating this unique living plant and moss frame at The House and Barn. The frame is 11x14 inches and will contain at least two houseplants and a variety of preserved mosses. We will provide step by step instructions as well as, educational information regarding care of this project and the plants included. As an added bonus additional propagation education will be given during class.

This class will include all materials needed.
*Some materials may vary and this workshop is non-refundable. 

*In the case of inclement weather, we will offer a kit to be left at the venue for pick-up. If the venue closes, the workshop will be rescheduled. If you are unable to attend the new date, we can provide a kit for you to complete at home or you may choose a new workshop of the same ticket value.

Moss Frame Workshop

Join us on Thursday, April 24th at the Kutztown Community Library. This is a fun moss frame workshop where you can channel your creativity and bring a piece of nature indoors. Moss frames are a great addition to any interior and you have two frame options to choose from! They also require no maintenance and no watering, just occasional dusting; easy-peasy! Connect with nature and explore your creative side as you sit back and enjoy a guided workshop.

Tree of Life Workshop

Let's get crafty at House and Barn with Gallivanting Greenhouse! Locally sourced dried straw flowers and dried cut flowers adorn the faux silk canopy of your tree. Enjoy step by step directions as you construct the tree trunk with preserved wood, moss, and twine attached to your 12 in metal hoop. Make it a night out and arrive early to order food and drinks.

Galen Glen Plant and Moss Frame Workshop

We will provide step by step instructions as well as, educational information regarding care of this project and the plants included. As an added bonus additional propagation education will be given during class.  You will be gifted a glass of wine from Gallivanting Greenhouse during class as well.

Stone Farm Cellar Propagation Workshop

Have you ever wanted to learn about the different methods of propagation? Join us for as we teach you about propagating with four different substrates: Sphagnum moss, water, perlite, and soil. Learn about the different parts of a plant that we can use when propagating in order to understand how and where your plant will grow. Personalize your wooden tote containing 6 glass containers with a choice of ribbons or twine. A choice of 6 different props will be given, varying from traditional houseplants to Tropicals. This workshop continues when you return home with your wooden and glass prop station. Document how your propagations grow in the different substrates.
